Renovation of an office development in Gatineau, Quebec. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 0-square-foot, 0-story below grade office development.
The current boardroom's lighting level is too low, causing interference with the existing audio visual and video conferencing equipment. A lighting designer with experience in lighting and AV systems is required, and the lighting should not be linked to the AV VC system. Use of light switches with pre-set settings for different modes is recommended, with these settings to be identified and designed by the consultant. The consultant will be responsible for the design and oversight of project realization and construction according to the design intent package and drawings. The lighting consultant must provide a brief of their proposed demolition and construction method for all scope items, specify all scope items, and provide cut sheets for client approval. All proposed lighting solutions and equipment must be approved by BGIS and included on their approved lighting equipment list. The solution should be the least intrusive, making use of existing site conditions and modifying existing ceiling openings where possible, with feasibility confirmed by the consultant and alternatives proposed where necessary.
