Establish a binding contract for unit prices with the low Bidder to undertake flood response activities for a spring flood event for the identified communities, and establish a non-binding call-out list for unit prices for all qualified bidders for potential future summer and/or fall flood events. The work mainly consists of the construction and removal of clay closures at the openings of the permanent flood protection West Dike in the vicinity of Winnipeg to Brunkild, MB if required. The Contractor shall provide specified equipment to prepare, excavate, load, haul and place borrow material; perform dike repair, maintenance and emergent work; remove placed borrow material and conduct site clean up, repair and remediation; and manage traffic as directed by Manitoba. The exact scale, timing, and extent of the work is unknown, and there is no guarantee of quantities. Equipment will only be mobilized if dike closures are required and no payment will be made if work is not required.
