Generally, the work includes removing and replacing damaged or deteriorated roof insulation, cleaning designated roof areas, and coating with liquid applied roofing. Bids shall be delivered in a sealed bid envelope to the Office of the Superintendent prior to the specified date and time. The following is required with the bid submission: a properly completed Proposal Form in duplicate, a bid deposit in the amount of 10% of the bid, and compliance with not less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor. Specifications and drawings are available upon request from the Office of the Architect. All work of this contract is subject to the provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders must submit a notarized certification that the contractor is not barred from bidding as a result of a violation of specified statutes. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, bank draft, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to The Waverly Board of Education C.U.S.D. No. 6. The successful bidder will be required to provide Surety Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the contract cost, within ten days after notice of acceptance is issued by the owner. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity in bidding as warranted. No bid shall be withdrawn for sixty days after opening of bids without written consent of the owner. Question Deadline 01/22/2026: Each Bidder shall examine the bidding documents carefully and, not later than ten (5) days prior to the date for receipt of bids, shall direct his requests to the Architect for the interpretation or correction of any ambiguity, inconsistency or error therein which he may discover.
