The Peace-Liard Business Area of British Columbia Timber Sales is proposing a tree planting contract for the 2026 summer season. The contract involves planting approximately 1,166,280 summer trees, including about 223,080 Forest Investment Program trees, over a net area of approximately 740 hectares. The work is to be completed within 29 cutblocks in the Dawson Creek Timber Supply Area, near Dawson Creek and Tumbler Ridge, with about 152,800 trees requiring helicopter support over two cutblocks. All sites must be accessed using truck, ATV, or helicopter, with the contractor responsible for all planning and costs of helicopter transportation. All trees must be planted by July 31, 2026. The successful contractor must follow all terms and conditions specified in the tender package and adhere to the BCTS Planting Contractor Rating System. The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted. Only registered suppliers can submit electronically through BC Bid, and non-electronic submissions must follow specified delivery methods. Bid securities and submission formats must meet the stated requirements.
