This proposal is to provide the City of Columbus, Division of Water, with a Universal Term Contract to purchase approximately 3,800 liquid tons annually of Liquid Caustic Soda for use as a softening agent for potable water at three City of Columbus Water Plants. The contract may be in effect through March 31, 2029, with an optional one-year extension. The supplier must provide, deliver, and unload bulk quantities of Liquid Caustic Soda and also provide specified safety training sessions. If Liquid Caustic Soda becomes the primary softening agent, the required quantity may increase to approximately 18,000 tons annually. Offerors must submit an outline of experience and work history in this material for the past five years and demonstrate at least four similar successful contracts.
