This project will connect Poinciana Parkway with Florida's Turnpike and Interstate 4 once the Poinciana Parkway Extension is complete. It will be approximately 15-miles of roadway which may be up to six lanes wide. TIMELINE: As of October 7. 2026 the The CFX Governing Board approved the Preferred Alternative for the PD&E Study in late 2025. The CFX Governing Board on August 13 reviewed a phasing proposal that brings the expressway and local road improvements much closer to moving into design and construction. CFX is working to find public and private funding partners to fill the funding gap and be able to move the project forward to design and construction. There is no schedule for that at this time.
