Renovation of a mixed-use development in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 32,323-square-foot educational facility; and theater / auditorium.

The Billingsley Music Building, completed in 1978, was conceived of as an addition to the 1951 Fine Arts Center, the first multidisciplinary academic arts building in the country. The new building was meant to allow the Department of Music to expand its program while maintaining close ties to the Department of Art and Department of Theatre, both of which remained in the Fine Arts Center and took over the spaces then vacated by Music. The building includes departmental offices, large practice spaces for ensembles, individual practice rooms, classrooms, and instrument storage. The building today retains almost all of its original systems and finishes. The only improvements made to the building since 1978 were undertaken in 2023, with an upgrade to select finishes in a portion of the third floor. After more than 45 years in service, the Billingsley Music Building is in great need of renovation. The building systems have passed their useful lifespan, finishes are worn and tattered in many places, lighting is inadequate, restrooms and certain corridors do not meet ADA requirements, etc. Funding this request would complete all interior renovation work, including asbestos abatem The project is included in the State's 2025-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
