Provide all labor and materials to demo all existing seating and replace seating with 150 seats per the scope of work in the old auditorium at Kickapoo High school Question Deadline 01/05/2026 at 1:00 PM CT All questions must be submitted through the e-bidding system Work commencement and completion to be discussed based on breaks and completion timeframes. Demo and installation could take place during school hours however major removal of demo items or loading of new items shall not take place during school hours. This should be discussed and agreed upon prior to commitment to proceed. District dumpsters shall not be used for disposal of existing flooring materials. Time is of the essence and it is the intent of the Owner to begin work no later than having materials ordered within 1 week of issueance of Notice to Proceed and have the work substantially completed no later than 8 weeks from the order date. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, executed by the Bidder and a duly authorized surety company, certified check, or cashier's check made unconditionally payable to the Springfield Public Schools R-12 for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the maximum bid or bids submitted. The bid security pledges that the Bidder will enter into a Contract with the Owner on the terms stated in the Bid and will, if required, furnish bonds covering the faithful performance of the Contract and payment of all obligations arising thereunder. Bid bond must be submitted to Owner in IONWave as part of bidding documents. Bid Bond shall be written by a surety firm acceptable to the Owner, and shall guarantee that: if the Bidder is awarded Contract with Owner within thirty (30) days from the date bids were received, he will enter into a contract with the Owner within ten (10) days after receipt of notice of award, and that a Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond for 100% of the amount of the Contract will be provided as required by Article 7. Performance and Payment Bonds are required on bids $50,000 and over and should be included in the bid. Prevailing Wage should be included if the bid is $75,000 and over. Base Bid 5: Kickapoo High School Old Auditorium Seating replacement The Scope of Work within the Project Manual references that a site visit is required and how to schedule a site visit . Please note that visiting the building without properly scheduling a site visit will not be allowed and could result in bids being void as Project Coordinators are not on site at all times . o Remove all existing seating and dispose of them properly. o All freight and installation shall be included. o Ensure concrete is ready for new seating (old bolts removed if they are not used for the new seats, etc) o Installation of 150 new seats. Seats will be divided among 6 rows, starting from the center and out. The existing bottom 2 rows and the existing top row will not be put back at this time. o Seats are to be as follows: o Roma SRT chairs from Mobiliario o 30 7/8" Seat Back Hight o Seat Width - TBD o Arms with Cupholders o Include Letters for Aisles/Seat Numbers - District will work to confirm aisle and seat numbers as we would like to adjust for the possibility of future expansion. This will be confirmed after award and prior to ordering of the seats. o Back will have upholstery o Seat will have upholstery o Upholstery - Sherpa Black - will be confirmed at a later date prior to ordering. The owner reserves the right to retain the security of all bidders until the successful bidder enters into the Contract or until 30 days after bid opening, whichever is sooner. Notice of award or rejection shall be given within 30 days of bid opening. Bid securities will be returned as soon as practical.
