The project includes renovations to the building s main entry lobby flooring, a new organization of the restroom entry, and upgraded domestic water service. This includes, but not limited to, new floor, wall, and ceiling finishes, relocated mechanical and electrical, as well as a separated backflow preventer for the tenant space. Additional alternate scopes of work include the replacement of the restroom fixtures, new restroom finishes and partitions, ceramic wall tile, and walk-off flooring systems. The projects shall be bid and let as one (1) Prime Contract. Your Bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission. A certified or cashiers check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each proposal. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each for the full amount of the contract, will be required of the successful Bidder. Springfield-Greene County Library District hereby notifies all bidders that minority, disadvantaged and women-owned business owners will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. All labor utilized in the construction of this project must comply with State Prevailing Wage Laws. All contractors and sub-contractors employed upon the site of work shall be paid once a week a wage of no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages for work of similar character in Greene County as established by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations. All Contractors shall verify that employees assigned to this project are not registered on the Missouri Sex Offender Registry, as posted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Local Sheriff Departments. Contractor shall also verify with other similar registries by other States. This project requires use of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) E-Verify program to verify contractors employees eligibility to work in the United States. E-Verify, which compares information from the Employment Eligibility Verification Form (I-9) against federal government databases to verify workers employment eligibility, is a free web-based system operated by DHS in partnership with the Social Security Administration (SSA).
