Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Savannah, Georgia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 23,678-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Construction of a new, 23,678 square foot Northwest Precinct & Crime Lab, additional parking and associated site work. General Description: The one-story facility will be constructed with exterior load-bearing concrete masonry unit (CMU) walls with an interior steel frame. A combination of brick veneer and aluminum composite materials panels will be used on the building façade. The low-sloped roof system will have a single-ply PVC membrane system (installed over lightweight concrete) with internal roof drains. Interior spaces consist of the following: building support spaces; Public Areas with a Training/Community Room and Community Room Storage; Staff Areas for police officers with offices, workrooms, storage rooms and meeting rooms; Intox Area; K9 area; shared department support spaces with interview rooms, conference rooms, fitness room and locker rooms; and a Real-Time Crime Area including offices, a breakroom, workstations and a dedicated data room. A five-bay garage is also incorporated in the plan, as is a second floor Drone Room with dedicated drone landing area on the roof. Basic building systems include (but are not limited to): site clearing, paving, lightweight insulating concrete, cementitious wood-fiber plank roof deck, cast-in-place concrete, concrete masonry units, brick veneer, structural steel framing, joists and decking, cold form framing, metal fabrications, sheathing and building insulation, aluminum composite material panels, fiber cement siding/panels, interior architectural woodwork, PVC roofing, roof accessories and specialties, sealants and firestopping, hollow metal doors and frames, wood doors, aluminum storefront, insulated roll-up doors, finish hardware, glazing, gypsum wallboard, non-structural metal framing, tile, acoustical ceilings, accent ceilings, resilient floor and base, carpet tiles, ceramic tile flooring, interior and exterior paint systems, epoxy paint, solid surface material, visual display units, signage (interior and exterior), acoustical wall panels, toilet partitions and accessories, wall and door protection, lockers, fire protection accessories, aluminum canopies, residential appliances, louver blinds and window shades, plumbing fixtures and systems, HVAC, sprinkler system, electrical systems, lighting (interior and exterior), transformers, fire alarm system, landscaping, and termite control. Additional systems include (but are not limited to) an emergency power system and security systems. The project requires a LDBE participation total of 30% (10% local, 20% disadvantage) The project is federally funded and requires certified payroll using the Davis-Bacon Wage rates included in the documents
