The rehabilitation of this owner-occupied, single-family, residence is to make the home safer, more energy efficient, and easier to access within the provisions of federal, state, and county laws and ordinances and the SHIP repair program. The rehabilitation of this home will include the following tasks as outlined below and the repaired areas are to match as close as possible to their existing surroundings. If additional tasks beyond those included in this scope are discovered, then additional funds may be allocated. Before any additional work is performed, written county approval will be needed. There is no federal funding for this project. ACCESSIBLE BATHROOM: Replace the tub with a paneled wall shower unit as per the Escambia County Code. Include and reinforce new grab bars. Install a new tub and handheld shower faucets including a new valve. Install new shallow depth pedestal sinks and faucets with pop-up drains. Install a new, standard depth, comfort height toilet with a new floor flange and wax ring. Install all new _ turn brass shutoff valves on fixtures. Install new braided supply lines and replace any old piping and fittings associated with this repair. Replace the bathroom doors and openings with matching doors for wheelchair access. This repair is to include repairing all surrounding areas, new flooring, trims, caulk, paint, as well as new door hardware.
