Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Thonotosassa, Florida. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.
The purpose of this project is to reconstruct and widen the existing two-lane roadway to four-lane roadway of US 301, including new bridge construction. In addition to reconstructing and widening, this project also includes signing and pavement markings and minor drainage improvements. Other improvements include adding sidewalk and shared use path along US 301 As of January 8, 2026, this project is in the design phase. Construction is not planned within the next 5 years.
