The project consists of replacing 5,600 feet of water mains with new 6-inch diameter and 8-inch diameter ductile iron pipe (DIP) water mains, water services, boring, and other miscellaneous appurtenances and improvements as shown on the drawings. Bids will be received for a single prime contract on a unit price basis as indicated in the bid form. Work under the proposed contract must commence within ten calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, with substantial completion required on or before August 15, 2026, and final completion by September 1, 2026, subject to any extension of time that may be granted by the Owner. Bidders must furnish bid security in accordance with the instructions to bidders. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 30 days after the date of the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities, and to award the contract in the best interest of the Owner. Bidding documents are available from the Issuing Office for a specified charge, and partial sets will not be available. Printed documents are also available for a refundable deposit upon return in reusable condition within 14 days after award of the project. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than five days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
