The City of Lynn invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the exterior restoration of High Rock Cottage at High Rock Park, Campbell Terrace in Lynn, MA. The work includes cutting and repointing of selective areas of exterior masonry, fabrication and installation of replacement windows and doors on the south elevation, fabrication and installation of wood vergeboards at gables based on historic evidence, and painting of windows, door and frame, and vergeboards. All work must be performed in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in Historic Masonry or Historic Building and submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. Bids must be submitted electronically at www.biddocsonline.com. General bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit not less than five percent (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount, including all alternates, and made payable to the City of Lynn. The required Labor & Materials Payment Bond and Contract Price Performance Bond must be included for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. There is a plan deposit of $75.00 per set (maximum of 2 sets), refundable for up to two sets for general bidders upon return in good condition within thirty days. Additional sets may be purchased for $75.00. The City of Lynn reserves the right to waive any informality in or reject any or all bids or any part thereof.
