The North Dakota Council on the Arts (NDCA) is requesting Statements of Qualifications for landscape architectural services for Arts Across the Prairie. No specific scope of work or detailed instructions to bidders are provided in the available text. NDCA is constructing eight large-scale public artworks in rural locations in each of North Dakota's eight administrative regions. Each artwork is sited in a rural location of approximately 1-3 acres in size and will comprise the following: vehicle access, a 10-stall crushed gravel parking area, walking path, and signage. Services required include consultation on and design of the previous list of activities, plus coordinating with contracted land surveyors; researching permits and county-specific requirements; consulting on the State procurement and selection of needed contractors; and offering broad subject matter expertise. Sites include private and federal land. Candidates must be familiar with State of North Dakota projects and moving projects from conception to completion. The project's projected timeline is from the closing of this RFQ through 2026, with the quantity of work after 2026 to be determined as projects progress and close. Projected workload is 6-10 hours per week. The scope of services includes, but is not limited to: Site Design: Working within the surveyed site, coordinate with Program Manager on designing a site that incorporates the artwork, parking, paths, signage, and other components while meeting program objectives. Prepare all information and documents for bidding out to the private market, or, for coordination with other government agencies. Ensure that all appropriate and industrystandard practices are followed in preparing for and managing construction on-sight. Provide highlevel insight and collaborate on solutions. Permitting: Research and secure all permits for sites, whether federal or private. Coordinate with Program Manager on submission of permits. Consult with the State Historical Society. Procurement and Selection: Work with Program Manager to follow Century Code on selection of contractors. Provide insight on selection of contractors and contracting. All individuals and/or firms serving as consultants shall be considered part of the design team.
