A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Work includes renovations to the Martin County Farmer's Market located at 4001 W. Main Street, Williamston, NC 27892. Bidders must show evidence of their current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing their proposal. Digital copies of construction documents can only be obtained from Jen Acevedo at The Wooten Company by qualified contractors who will submit a bid. Only qualified contractors may obtain these documents. All project-related questions must be submitted in writing and emailed to Thomas Madre before 12:00 Noon on Wednesday December 31st, 2025. If required, an addendum will be released prior to 5:00 PM on Tuesday January 2nd, 2026. The project is funded in whole or in part by the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), administered by the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality/Division of Water Infrastructure. All federal CDBG requirements apply, including Section 109 and Executive Order 11246, prohibiting employment discrimination, as well as compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Davis Bacon Act, Anti-Kickback Act, and Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act. Contractors must not be debarred, suspended, or otherwise ineligible to participate in federally assisted contracts or programs. Prior to contract award, prime contractors must be actively registered with no exclusions on SAM.gov and not listed as NC Debarred Vendors. No contract can be awarded to ineligible contractors or subcontractors, and any such contract must be terminated immediately if discovered. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 30 days after the bid opening. Martin County reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
