Powell Ave. Byers St. Drainage Repair. Category: Drainage, Dredging, Ditches, Canals. Please see attached scope of work. The Powell Avenue at Byers Street Drainage Repair project involves full rehabilitation of (2) 72" x 42" CMPA storm drainpipes that are each approximately 64 LF in length. Scope includes mobilization, traffic control, invert repair, pipe preparation, rehabilitation lining, flowable fill installation (unknown quantity) and temporary surface restoration. Final activities consist of completing void filling, site cleanup, and placement of 12" limestone/SB2/crushed concrete layer to provide temporary driving service until asphalt paving is completed by others. The existing temporarily placed steel road plates will be removed by the City of Monroe as coordinated with the Contractor. The Contractor shall notify the Public Works Department at least 24 hours before fully/partially closing any traffic lanes in order for the general public to be notified. The Contractor to ensure the work area remains safe, clean, and orderly throughout the project. At completion, all debris, equipment, and temporary materials must be removed, and the site restored to a neat, professional condition. Payment bonds are required on all public works projects greater than $25,000.00. The payment bond shall be in an amount not less than fifty percent (50%) of the contract price.
