All requests must be submitted at least 48 hours before the date and time of the bid opening. Sealed bids will be received for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the completion of the FY 26 Streets Resurfacing Project. The work will consist principally of approximately 21,000 tons of Superpave Bituminous Wearing Surface 1/2 " Max Aggregate Size ESAL Range C/D, 710 tons of Superpave Bituminous Binder Layer, Leveling 1/2 " Max Aggregate Size ESAL Range C/D, 94,050 square yards of Milling, and 4,539 square feet of Traffic Control Markings, Class 2, Type A (White). There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting. Bidders must be compliant with the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act and are responsible for acquiring the appropriate business licenses and permits. Each bid must include at least five percent (not to exceed $10,000) of the bid amount as a certified or cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City of Auburn, Alabama. The City reserves the right to select the lowest responsible bidder, award the contract from any of the bids, reject any and all bids, and waive any informalities in bids received. Bids will be good for thirty days after being opened.
