**As of January 14, 2026, the project was awarded to Thalamus, LLC, with an awarded amount of $383,743.50.** The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the completion of the FY 2025-2026 Fiber Expansion Project. The principal items of work include the installation of 7,065 linear feet of buried duct HDPE DR11, 1.25 inch; 8,751 linear feet of OSP loose tube, 48-fiber single mode cable; and 466 linear feet of drop cable OSP, 6-fiber single mode central core cable. Bidders are required to submit a guarantee with each bid of at least five percent (not to exceed $10,000) of the bid amount in the form of a certified or cashier's check or bid bond, payable to the City of Auburn, Alabama. Bidders must comply with the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act regarding employment practices. The successful low bidder is responsible for acquiring appropriate business licenses and permits to work within the City of Auburn. Bids must be good for thirty days after being opened.
