Question Deadline 11/19/2025 Every request for an interpretation shall be made in writing, addressed, and forwarded to the City Manager of the City of Auburn, Alabama. All requests must be submitted at least 48 hours before the date and time of the bid opening. Requests for interpretations will not be accepted after that time. This project consists of renovations to the landscaping and related features located at the Veterans Memorial Park at 401 E. Glenn Avenue in Auburn, Alabama. The work includes all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to successfully implement all work described in the provided construction drawings in accordance with the associated specifications and contract documents. Working hours for the project shall generally be between 7:00AM to 5:00PM Sunday through Saturday, and the site shall be left in a safe and secure condition whenever the Contractor is not actively working. Ingress and egress shall be maintained for adjacent residences at all times. The Contractor is advised that staging of equipment and materials will be permitted within Felton Little Park as identified in Appendix H. All material and equipment must be removed from Felton Little Park by March 31, 2026, to accommodate parking for sporting events. The City is requesting bid prices to provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to perform landscape and lighting renovations located at 401 East Glenn Ave. within the City of Auburn. The work will consist principally of the following items Bid prices are requested for providing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to restore the landscape of Veterans Memorial Park at 200 E. Glenn Avenue within the City of Auburn, in accordance with the provided construction drawings and specifications. The principal items of work include mobilization, demolition, furnishing and installation of landscape plants and materials, furnishing and installation of a new irrigation system, and removal and replacement of approximately 210 linear feet of existing 6-foot-tall wooden privacy fence. Additive alternates include the furnishing and installation or replacement of ground lighting, the furnishing and installation of eight Mesabi Black granite pedestals with bronze plaques (including footings), and the furnishing and installation of eight precast concrete pedestals with bronze plaques (including footings). Bids must be submitted on specified forms and include documentation of a State contractor's license as required under Title 34, Chapter 8 of the Code of Alabama, 1975. Bidders employing persons in Alabama must provide documentation of enrollment in E-Verify to comply with employment law. The successful bidder is responsible for acquiring the necessary business licenses and permits, and for remitting all applicable taxes and fees. The contractor must use materials, supplies, and products manufactured, mined, processed, or otherwise produced in the United States if available at reasonable prices, unless approval is obtained to use other materials. The contractor will be required to provide certificates of insurance meeting minimum limits for automobile liability, general liability, and workers' compensation insurance, with the City to be named as additional insured.
