As of January 9, 2026 - Bid Question Response received for the following: Bid Question – Bypass Pumping Flow Data - It has been asked whether flow data is available to assist with sizing the bypass pumping. Flow data is not available at this location. However, a map of the upstream collection system conveying flow through the project area is attached for reference. The contributing collection area includes 220 residences and one city park restroom, which is currently closed for the winter. The project involves the furnishing of all materials, labor, administration, and equipment for the Bristol Drive Sanitary Sewer Replacement project. The work includes the removal and replacement of 196 linear feet of sanitary sewer and one sewer manhole. Bidders must obtain the bidding documents, which include drawings, plans, and specifications, from the Director of Public Service's office, and must be on the current bidders list to qualify as a legitimate bidder. Bids should be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the total amount bid. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive any informality in any bid. The contract will be awarded to the lowest and best bidder. Preference may be given to Vandalia individuals or businesses if their bid is within 5% (for bids of $50,000 or less) or within 2% (for bids over $50,000) of the lowest bid price, provided all other qualifications are met.
