Sealed bids are invited for the replacement of the high school gymnasium telescopic bleacher. Bids must be clearly marked and submitted by the specified deadline. There is one bid package for this project, and prospective contractors are highly encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all submittals or to advertise for new submittals if necessary. Scope The scope of work for this RFP is to complete the full demolition, haul off and disposal of the existing Atlanta C-3 High School gymnasium bleachers, and to furnish and install new manually operated, wall-mounted telescopic bleachers. The new telescopic bleachers will need to fit within the constraints of the existing building, including the existing steel columns. The bleachers shall include seven (7) rows, first-tier permanent and recoverable wheelchair cutouts, two rows of chairs and/or seat backs, molded high-strength polyethylene seat modules, closure panels, aisleways, aisle railings, and side railings (if required). See the bid documents for the technical specification and reference drawing. Owner referred to below is the Atlanta C-3 School District. The Contractor referred to below is the General Contractor. This bid package includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Technical specification construction services for Gymnasium Bleachers at Atlanta C-3 School District located at 600 S. Atterberry St., Atlanta, MO 63530. 2. Area of work shall be limited to the Gymnasium. 3. Any required engineering, permits and fees shall be the responsibility of the contractor. 4. General Contractor will be responsible for the demolition, haul-off, and disposal of the existing bleacher system, equipment, and accessories. 5. General Contractor is responsible for electrical work after the disconnects, including hooking up bleacher control box to power supply / disconnect. 6. The General Contractor shall be responsible for all required mounting, bracing and anchoring. 7. Protection of existing surfaces, including the gym floor and facilities, shall be the responsibility of the General Contractor. Any damage to existing surfaces (both interior and exterior) resulting from the General Contractor's work shall be the responsibility of the General Contractor to repair. Alternates must be pre-approved by the Owner in writing before RFP responses are submitted.
