McAllen Public Utility is seeking proposals for the procurement of two (2) micro bar screens for the Membrane Thickening System at the South Wastewater Treatment Plant. This procurement is aimed at improving preliminary treatment efficiency by removing solids and debris. All proposals are to be submitted electronically through the City of McAllen’s bidding portal. Original, hard copy, and/or late proposals shall not be accepted. To view the solicitation and submit a proposal, registration in the City’s bidding portal is required. Solicitation documents will not be mailed, e-mailed, or provided in person. Once registered, respondents will be added to the solicitation distribution list for changes and/or additions via Addenda form. A Bidder’s Bond from a reliable surety company licensed to operate in the State of Texas or certified Cashier’s Check (Bid Security) payable without recourse to the City of McAllen, for the amount of not less than five thousand dollars ($5,000) shall be submitted via a sealed envelope as a guaranty that, if awarded the contract, the respondent will enter into a contract with the City of McAllen. The Respondent’s bid security shall be submitted before the electronic proposal deadline date and time. Failure to submit the bid security shall be grounds for disqualification. The McAllen Public Utility reserves the right to refuse and reject any or all proposals, to waive any or all formalities or technicalities, or to accept the proposal considered the best value to the City and to hold the proposals for a period of ninety (90) calendar days without taking action.
