The scope of work includes the construction of a Street Sweeper, CM-0825(002), HLA Project No. 25005G. The main requirements are a four-wheel chassis rated at a minimum of 19,500 pounds GVRW, a single engine system, and a hopper with a minimum gross capacity of 5 cubic yards. Required delivery is within 6 months of placing the order. Each bid must be accompanied by a bond or certified check payable to the Treasurer of the City of Moxee for at least 5% of the bid. Proposals must be in writing on the forms provided in the specifications, sealed, and filed with the Clerk before the deadline. Bidders are encouraged to register as planholders on the specified website to receive addenda notifications. The City will ensure fair opportunity for disadvantaged business enterprises and prohibit discrimination based on race, color, or national origin. Minimum salaries and wages, as set forth in the contract documents and subject to prevailing wage rates, must be paid. Small, minority-, and women-owned firms are encouraged to submit bids. The project is federally funded and must comply with all Federal Highway Administration requirements. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive technicalities or irregularities to serve the best interests of the City.
