Description: The Airports Authority is seeking a contractor to replace vehicle access barriers at three locations at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). The basis of design is the HySecurity StrongArm M30 and the work includes demolition of existing gates and hydraulic accessories, reconfigure concrete islands and fire hydrant, install new barrier footers, electric sensors, gate arms and crash gates, fencing and integrate and commission the system. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision for the Vehicle Access Barrier Gates D, G and P at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in accordance with the contract documents. Work includes demolition of existing barrier gates and associated accessories, abandonment of existing wedge barriers and removal of all associated hydraulic fluid piping and equipment, reconfiguration of existing concrete islands to support new vehicle barriers, realignment of existing water line to support new barrier footer and relocation of fire hydrant to accommodate reconfigured concrete island, installation of new barrier footers, installation of electrical and communication appurtenance, installation of new gate arms, and crash gates, as well as connecting communication and electrical accessories with the exception of card readers which will be provided and installed by the Authority, installation of new chain link fence and gates, contaminated soils and water collection and disposal, commissioning of complete system. The contractor is responsible for costs to characterize and dispose of all excavated soils which are necessary to install the work. Soil shall be disposed at a recycling/treatment facility - landfill disposal is prohibited.
