Renovation of a military facility in Washington, District of Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
The main objective is to replace existing elevator equipment. Construction shall include the following: Remove existing elevator cabs #1-3 in Building 20, and elevator cab #1 in Building 9. Elevator cab flooring to be vinyl composition tile. Provide wall panels. Wall panel finish to be rigidized stainless steel in Building 20 elevators #1-3. Wall panel finish to be rigidized stainless steel in Building 9 elevator #1. Elevator cab doors, ceiling island, toe kick, reveals, frieze, handrail panels, and handrails to be brushed stainless steel. Provide CMU infills at Building 20 elevator machine rooms due to removal of mechanical equipment. Provide perimeter smoke seals and surface mounted automatic door bottoms at the four existing elevator machine room doors. Provide fire caulk at existing penetrations at elevator machine rooms and elevator hoistway. Time for Completion: 696 calendar days .
