Renovation of a multi-residential development in Dowagiac, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 60,000-square-foot, two-story above grade, 27-unit multi-residential development.
**As of February 17, 2026, project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The project involves the removal and replacement of drywall systems at Shkwéngen Apartments, Contractors are required to disconnect and temporarily relocate existing fixtures and appurtenances, incluing but not limited to cabinetry, light fixtures, appliances, and countertops, within each apartment unit to facilitate the removal and replacement of asbestos-containing drywall systems. All temporarily relocated items must be protected from dust and debris and, once the new drywall systems are installed and finished to match the original appearance, must be reinstalled in their original locations. If any items are not suitable for reuse, they must be replaced to restore each unit to its pre-removal condition. The project covers approximately 60,000 square feet of drywall systems removal and proper disposal from walls and ceilings in three two-story apartment buildings, including 27 residential units and a common laundry room. Environmental clearance is required following removal to ensure safety before reconstruction begins. Question Deadline 01/07/2026 at 3:00 PM ET
