Liquidated Damages: If the contractor fails to complete the work within the specified time, the contractor shall pay the City liquidated damages in the amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) per calendar day for each day of delay beyond the completion date. The bidder shall submit an original bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the offeror's proposal to the Purchasing Division prior to the bid closing date and time. Bidders agree that bids will remain firm for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the date specified for the return of bids. The contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, guaranteeing faithful compliance with all requirements of the contract documents and complete fulfillment of the contract, including payment of all labor, material, and other bills incurred in carrying out the contract.
