Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Westport, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel.
Sealed bids are requested for the replacement of the Cross Highway Bridge over Dead Man's Brook, Town Project 2021-14. Bids must be submitted by 12:00 Noon on Thursday, January 29, 2026, to the Westport Town Hall, Controller's Office, Room 313, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, CT 06880. Bid documents can be downloaded from the Town's website. All questions regarding the bid are to be submitted in writing to bwatson@westportct.gov by Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 4:00 PM. The bid opening will take place via ZOOM at 12:30 PM after the bid deadline. Bidders may request a ZOOM invitation via email. The Town of Westport reserves the right to waive any defects and informalities in the bidding or in any bid, to reject any or all bids for any reason, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Westport. The project runs along Cross Highway, from its intersection with North Avenue to its intersection with Wakeman Farm Drive in Westport, Connecticut. The subject water crossing, Cross Highway over Dead Man's Brook, is located just west of Wakeman Farm Drive.
