Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Marinette, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
As of February 11, 2026, project was awarded to Barley Trucking & Excavating, Inc., awarded amount is $326,923.10 In general, the project consists of constructing 4,100 LF of trail over the existing railroad grade from 8th Street to Ogden Street in the City of Marinette. Work includes, but is not limited to, removal of existing railroad ties and railroad crossing at 6th Street, clearing and grubbing, placement of limestone screenings, segments of asphalt paving, topsoil cap placement, sidewalk and curb ramp construction, signing, site restoration, and associated work. This project is funded in part by financial assistance from Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program. A. In general, the project consists of constructing 4,100 LF of trail over the existing railroad grade from 8th Street to Ogden Street in the City of Marinette. Work includes, but is not limited to, removal of existing railroad ties and railroad crossing at 6th Street, clearing and grubbing, placement of limestone screenings, segments of asphalt paving, topsoil cap placement, sidewalk and curb ramp construction, signing, site restoration, and associated work. B. The project site is part of an ongoing WDNR VPLE cleanup project being undertaken by the City of Marinette.
