Minority Business Enterprise Goal 18% Womens Business Enterprise Goal 12% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses 6% The project will provide improvements to the existing campuswide underground walk-through utility tunnel system. The scope includes the replacement and reconfiguration of high-temperature hot water (HTHW) anchors and guides, and the replacement/repair of additional HTHW pipe supports to restore proper thermal movement and load distribution. Work will also involve removal and replacement of disturbed insulation and jacketing. The project will provide new and modified tunnel openings for new fans and ventilators, and improvements to access hatches to the tunnel. Included in the work is the replacement of doors between buildings and the utility tunnel. The improvements will include water management improvements by the installation of sump pumps, associated discharge piping, power for pumps, and high-level alarms. THIS SOLICITATION IS FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (EOI) ONLY The project involves improvements to the existing campuswide underground walk-through utility tunnel system at the College of Staten Island. The scope includes the replacement and reconfiguration of high-temperature hot water (HTHW) anchors and guides, replacement and repair of additional HTHW pipe supports to restore proper thermal movement and load distribution, removal and replacement of disturbed insulation and jacketing, installation of new and modified tunnel openings for new fans and ventilators, improvements to access hatches to the tunnel, replacement of doors between buildings and the utility tunnel, and water management improvements including installation of sump pumps, associated discharge piping, power for pumps, and high-level alarms. The estimated cost range for the scope of work is $11,500,000 to $12,000,000. The work is governed by a Project Labor Agreement (PLA), and all tiers of subcontractors are required to execute a Letter of Assent to the PLA. There are specified goals for Minority & Women Workforce, M/WBE, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses participation.
