Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The project consists of the replacement of the artificial turf on the football/soccer field, replacement of the running track surfaces including the asphalt base, replacement of the triple jump field event, and replacement of the football scoreboard at Harding High School. The scope of services to be provided includes reviewing and refining SPPS’s space program, identifying spatial requirements, developing and facilitating community engagement, outlining conceptual design and preliminary site plan, performing zoning and code review, preparing a brief pre-design report, and communicating with stakeholders. It also covers schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction administration as defined in AIA Document B101-2017, as modified by Owner. Other duties include assisting the Owner with project phasing and scheduling, cost estimating, facilitating construction meetings, document review, coordinating bid review, permitting, providing 2D CAD plans, and adhering to SPPS design standards. The design team must be led by a Minnesota-licensed Architect and include relevant subconsultants for landscape architecture, civil, electrical, and low voltage/AV engineering as needed. Only preapproved firms from the BOE-approved slate may be solicited. Responders must be proficient with the Procore project management platform and BIM technology, specifically Autodesk Revit BIM software, with digital data management governed by relevant AIA documents. SPPS will contract separately for surveying, geotechnical, testing, environmental consulting, and commissioning services. The preliminary construction cost estimate is $1.6 – 1.76 million dollars, and construction is anticipated as a single phase in summer 2027. Additional instructions include mandatory site visit attendance, adherence to submission requirements, and compliance with nondiscrimination and insurance provisions. Responders shall submit in writing all project and RFP,questions, including any questions from site visit, via GetAll for incorporation into any addenda.
