The City of Abbotsford is contemplating making a direct award of a contract to Zeemac Vehicle Lease Ltd. to buy out the remaining portion of four (4) lease vehicles that are already being utilized in the existing fleet. The City owns a portfolio of more than 300 fleet vehicles and supplements the fleet as needed to support services throughout the City. It has been determined that purchasing the remaining four (4) leased vehicles is the best value option. The intent is to purchase these vehicles to take over ownership as part of the existing City fleet. The rationale includes best value for the City compared to purchasing new vehicles, avoidance of additional costs to decommission and recommission new vehicles, and the vehicles being a minimum of 4 years old with anticipated additional repair costs at lease end. The maximum value of the agreement is expected to be $135,180.00 CDN plus applicable taxes. Any respondents wishing to object to this decision should email their objection outlining specific reasons, demonstrating their ability to perform the contemplated work and/or services, and show availability and resources. Respondents must provide goods and services of the same or better quality and price and within the required period for their objection to be considered. Submissions by other methods will not be accepted.
