Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Northampton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Rail Trail Bridges Timber Deck Replacements :- All work in this contract is located in the City of Northampton. The scope of work includes removal and replacement of the bridge timber deck and rub railings and/or top railings. The bicycle and pedestrian bridges are located at Main Street, North Street, Easthampton Road, and the Look Park. The project includes the disposal of all treated wood that is removed from the bridges. The project includes temporary protective shielding over pedestrian and vehicle ways to be installed prior to work starting and remaining in place for the duration of the project and temporary signage and fencing for pedestrian control and detours. The detailed scope of work to be performed under this contract is included in the ITEM SPECIFICATIONS section. Replacement of the timber decking surfaces on four (4) of the pedestrian/bicycle bridges of the Northampton Rail Trail system. The City of Northampton reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Project includes prevailing wage rates. A bid deposit and Payment and Performance Bonds are required. This is a City and State funded project. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. All work shall be completed by May 30, 2026 unless approved to by the DPW Bid(5.0%), Performance(100.0%), Payment(100.0%), Certified Check
