Renovation of a multi-residential development in Moulton, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

The project consists of the interior renovation of bathrooms at the Burch Boulevard Apartments and Petty Homes Apartments in Moulton, Alabama, with a total of approximately 8 bathrooms to be renovated. All General Contractors interested in bidding are strongly urged to attend Pre-Bid and onsite review meetings. The drawings require the renovation site to be reviewed prior to placing a bid; this may be the only opportunity to view the interior of the units. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder in accordance with the rules, regulations, and policies of the Housing Authority, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and State of Alabama Bid Laws. Only contractors properly licensed in accordance with the State Licensing Board for General Contractors will be considered. All bidders must display their license number and category on the sealed envelope with the proposal and include a copy of the bidder's license with their paperwork. Licensing required by local municipalities must be obtained prior to contract execution. Bids must be submitted using proposal forms furnished by the architect. No bid may be withdrawn for thirty (30) days after the scheduled closing. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities. A certified check or bid bond payable to the Housing Authority in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany the proposal. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds are required at contract signing and must be included in the contractor's proposal. Other required bidding documents are identified in the project manual and specifications. The awarded contractor must comply with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 and 24 CFP Part 75, directing employment and economic opportunities to low and very low-income persons, especially those receiving HUD assistance. Plans, specifications, and contract documents can be obtained by contacting the architect and must be reviewed prior to bidding. Inquiries and product substitution requests must be made using forms in the Project Manual, no later than three days after the scheduled Pre-Bid Meeting. Bid proposal packages are to be hand delivered on the bid date.
