Bracken County Public Library Board of Trustees is requesting Lump Sum bids for their Renovation Project located at 310 W. Miami St. in Brooksville, Kentucky. Scope of Work consists of, but is not limited to, the following: Selective Demolition, Wood Studs & Drywall, Acoustical Ceilings, Aluminum Storefront Systems, Knock-Down Hollow Metal Door Frames & Solid Core Wood Doors, Finish Upgrades, HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical Renovations. This is a Direct Purchase Order Project. Bids must be submitted only on the forms provided in the Project Manual. The proposal envelope must display the Project Name, Contractor's Name, and date on the outside. Bid bonds in the amount of 5% of the total bid are required. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract amount are required of each successful bidder upon execution of their contract. All contractors and subcontractors are required to comply with the Commonwealth of Kentuckys Workers Compensation Insurance and Unemployment Insurance requirements. Participation by minority business entities is encouraged. Bidders are advised to carefully read the entire set of Contract Documents and visit the site. A review of the Contract Documents will take place at this meeting and an opportunity to examine the existing facility will follow the meeting. This Project is to be completed and phased in a way that will allow for the Library to stay open and provide continuous services to the Public for the duration of Construction. It is the intent of the Owner and Design Team in conjunction with the General Contractor to develop a comprehensive Construction Plan and Schedule to achieve this goal within the timeframe specified in Section 003113 Project Schedule.
