The contract will consist of thefollowing: 2026 CCMG Paving and associated work items of variousstreets throughout the Town ofBurnettsville. Each bid shall be accompaniedby a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond made payable to the Owner, in a sum ofnot less than five percent (5%)of the total amount of the bid,which check or bond will be heldby the Owner as evidence thatthe bidder will, if awarded thecontract, enter into the samewith the Owner upon notificationfrom him to do so within ten (10)days of said notification. Approved performance and payment bonds guaranteeing faithful and proper performance ofthe work and materials, to be executed by an acceptable suretycompany, will be required of theContractor at the time he executes his contract. The bondwill be in the amount of 100% ofthe Contract Price and must bei n f u l l f o r c e a n d e f f e c tthroughout the term of the Construction Contract plus a periodof twelve (12) months from thedate of substantial completion. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bidsor authorized postponementthereof. Any bid received afterthe time and date specified shallnot be considered. No bid maybe withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt ofbids for at least sixty (60) days.The Owner may make such investigations as deemed necessary to determine the ability ofthe Bidder to perform the workand the Bidder shall furnish tothe Owner all such informationand data for this purpose as theOwner may request. The Ownerreserves the right to reject anybid if the evidence submitted by,or investigation of, such Bidderfails to satisfy the Owner thatsuch Bidder is properly qualifiedto carry out the obligations of theAgreement and to complete thework contemplated therein. Bids shall be properly and completely executed on bid forms included in the Contract Documents.
