This project involves the tracing, cleanup, and removal of all existing telecommunications cables and equipment such as patch panels, followed by replacement with CAT6 cabling. The same removal and replacement actions are required for network drops throughout the buildings to ensure compatibility with CAT6 cable and patch panels. Installation and population of vertical cable raceways or poles for effective cable management with existing cubicles and future modular furniture are required. Existing cable routing equipment such as cable trays, conduit, and j-hooks may be reused or supplemented with new routing equipment if necessary. All terminating ends must be labeled in accordance with KAFB Comm Standards, and testing of all cabling is required upon installation to achieve final acceptance. Question Deadline 01/23/2026 potential bidders may submit questions regarding the site visit through SAM.gov This Statement of Work (SOW) provides for the establishing of network connectivity to the wider Department of Defense (DoD) telecommunications network for seven buildings located between Texas St. and Pennsylvania St., and the removal and installation of new internal communications infrastructure (ISP) for buildings 20386, 20389, and 20391. The outside communications infrastructure aspect of this SOW will require the installation of 4" conduit as both single and paired conduits, the running of 144 Strand Single Mode Fiber Optic, providing/installation of multicell fabric innerduct, installation of handhole mounting and grounding hardware, and performing splicing of cables within cases where necessary in order to provide each building the necessary strand cabling (buildings 20380, 20386, 20388, 20389, 20391, 20392, and 20393). The ISP for buildings 20386 and 20389 will require the removal and disposal of existing infrastructure (ex: network drops, cabling, faceplates), establishment of a primary telecom rooms, and installation of replacement infrastructure to bring the building in line with the Kirtland Air Force Base Comm Division Specs (KAFB Comm Standards). Modifications to this SOW will be as authorized by the Contracting Officer. Authorized modifications shall be integrated into the project by the contractor. Change Orders must be approved by the Contracting Officer prior to implementing any changes or additions.Places of Performance The place of performance shall be at and in the vicinity of buildings 20380, 20386, 20388, 20389, 20391 20392, 20393 and 20449 located on Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. In addition to the buildings, manholes and handholes leading to and throughout the previous DoE building complex will be involved. As outlined by FAR 36.204, the anticipated magnitude for this effort is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
