The Project consists of constructing two sections: (1000) The finished water main between the Russellville Water Treatment Plant and the existing water system network; and (2000) Site piping at the Cemetery Tank. Section 1000 includes connections at several locations, installation of approximately 5,660/780/620/20 linear feet of 16"/12"/8"/6" PVC water main, about 625 linear feet of fusible 16" PVC water main installed via horizontal directional drill, approximately 180 linear feet of 24" jack & bore steel casing with 16" ductile iron pipe carrier, approximately 140 linear feet of 18" jack & bore steel casing with 12" ductile iron pipe carrier, installation of 7 fire hydrants and isolation gate valves, 16 in-line gate valves, 6 water main connections or tapping sleeve and valve connections, paving, sidewalk, surface repairs, and additional miscellaneous items. Section 2000 includes tank site piping involving two altitude valve vaults, piping, valves, fittings, and other miscellaneous items. The work includes erosion control, traffic control, water main construction, and all required incidentals. Bids will be received for a single prime contract on a lump sum and unit price basis with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the bid form. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the instructions to bidders. The project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act; all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials must be produced in the United States.
