The scope of work and specifications for this Invitation to Bid shall be as follows: The Calhoun County School District is seeking to procure the services of a qualified and licensed Florida Contractor to provide protection to the Carr School Walk-In Freezer. This project is for the purchase and setup of emergency generator systems to reduce and/or mitigate damage that might otherwise occur from severe weather or other hazards. The Scope of Work for the proposed project shall provide protection by acquiring One (1) 27kW portable generator, or equivalent capacity as determined by a licensed electrical engineer based on surge and running load requirements of the Carr School Walk-In Freezer. The generator must maintain continuous operation for a minimum of 72 hours without refueling. The generator shall be stored at a location protected against a 500-year flood event, outside the Special Flood Hazard Area, and housed in a wind-rated enclosure that meets or exceeds ASCE 7-16 standards or local wind zone requirements. The selected contractor shall have a current and valid occupational license issued for the installation of the generator and the components listed below. It will be the responsibility of the selected contractor to produce the following documents upon completion of the project: Copy of permit(s), notice of commencement Local Building Official Inspection Report and Final Approval Copy of electrical designs, specifications and/or drawings Signed and Sealed Copy of As-built plans, as applicable All Product Specifications/Data Sheets Proof of Compliance with Project Conditions and Requirements Certified Letter of Completion, as applicable: Affirming that the project has been completed in conformance with the approved project drawings, specifications, and scope Certifying Compliance with all applicable codes The Contractor shall provide timely and professional services in accordance with the requirements and provisions specified herein. The Scope of Work includes labor, tools, equipment, PPE, materials, transportation, supervision, fees, and paperwork associated with the permits and insurance necessary to complete the work described in general below. All scopes of work shall be completed in accordance with manufacturing specifications, building codes and applicable industry standards. The project shall allow the Calhoun County School District to maintain critical facilities operational during future power outages. The Contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, and any incidental costs to supply equipment. In addition to providing One (1) 27kW portable generator or equivalent capacity in rated enclosures and electrical components, the Contractor must include in their proposal the following details: Annual Maintenance Cost: Provide a fixed annual cost for routine servicing of the installed generator and associated components. Parts Availability: Describe the availability of replacement parts for the proposed generator model, including typical lead times for ordering and delivery. Service Response Time: Specify the expected response time for both routine maintenance and emergency service calls.
