The project involves applying two coats of hot rubber sealant to existing asphalt paved surfaces and performing paint striping for parking stalls, traffic lines, and ADA-accessible areas. 4.1 Pre-Work Meeting: Prime contractor shall attend a pre-work meeting in person (not virtual or by phone) with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and Operations Manager to discuss the project scope and required submittals. Subcontractor(s) may attend as well, but not in leu of the Prime Contractor. 4.1.1 Provide a work plan schedule for Government approval prior to commencing work. Work plan shall include the proposed schedule, location of work site, and anticipated major milestones. 4.1.2 Provide an Accident Prevention Plan (See Section 5.1 for more information) 4.1.3 Provide Certificate of Liability Insurance 4.1.4 Provide E-Verify Results (See Section 6.5 for more information) Resealing existing asphalt: The contractor shall apply two coats of a commercial-grade emulsified asphalt sealant to approximately 131,000 square feet of asphalt surface (Appendix A). The sealer shall be applied in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and industry standards. The contractor shall ensure that the sealer is evenly applied and that all edges are properly sealed to prevent water intrusion. 4.2.1 Site Preparation: The contractor shall clean and prepare the asphalt surface by removing all debris, dirt, and oil stains. Any cracks larger than 1/2 inch in width shall be filled with a hot rubber asphalt sealant pach and any potholes will be repaired with an asphalt patch prior to resealing. 4.3 Restriping markings and parking stalls: The contractor shall restripe the parking stalls, ADA accessible areas, and traffic lines according to the striping plan (Appendix B) and existing parking lines. The paint shall be a high-quality, durable traffic paint that is rated and designed for all-weather use on asphalt surfaces. All lines shall be straight, evenly spaced, and of uniform width. 4.4 Warranty: The contractor shall provide a written warranty for the work performed. The warranty shall cover defects in materials and workmanship of the asphalt sealant and paint for a period of one year from the date of completion.
