The consultant, in collaboration with Zoo staff, shall develop a comprehensive concept for a new Penguin Exhibit that provides a unique and immersive guest experience. The consultant will determine the size of collection for the penguin exhibit and appropriate life support facility that integrates seamlessly with the existing "Canopy" restaurant, and considers the surrounding area for potential views from guest dining and private party experiences. Additional conceptual ideas may include but not limited to, underwater viewing, elevated decks, waterfalls, holding areas, exterior dining, covered open-air structures with overhead doors, fans, limited HYAC, and graphics in lieu of hard theming, etc. A Multi-use Event Center shall be conceptually designed as a destination to hold indoor to outdoor private events, weddings, ceremonies, and receptions to accommodate 500 or more guests, located off Remington Place and Northeast Lake. The concept should consider future development as part of the Zoo's master site plan as well as the opportunity for seasonal experiences, associated guest circulation, gardens, walking paths, possible restrooms, and expansion of the existing tram route. Parking and separate event entry should also be considered. City or Trust determines, in its sole discretion, the City or Trust is not able to timely negotiate an acceptable Scope of Work, Compensation, and Additional Services with the selected Consultant, then the City or Trust may terminate such negotiations and commence negotiation with another Consultant.
