The scope of work is to provide Professional Engineering, Surveying, and Environmental Continuing Contract Services for various school-related projects. Areas of expertise required include Civil/Site Engineering, Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing/Alarm/HVAC Engineering, Commissioning Services (HVAC Systems), and Environmental Services. The services include civil and site engineering; land surveying; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering; building commissioning; alarm systems evaluation and design; environmental services; phase I and II environmental site assessments; wetland delineation; threatened and endangered species studies; environmental impact statements; design and preparation of permits for access roads, site drainage, right-of-ways, utility systems, easements; operation and design of water and wastewater treatment plants; assistance in school site selection; maintaining compliance with permits; and threshold and structural inspections and reporting. The estimated cost of each individual project will not exceed amounts defined in 287.055 Florida Statutes. This is a multi-year contract for up to five years, renewable annually. All plans, drawings, and specifications become the property of the St. Johns County School District. Instructions to bidders: Minimum qualifications are ten years of professional expertise within the respective field and knowledge of local, state, and federal laws governing educational facilities. Bidders must submit one manually signed original, one photocopy, and a thumb drive in one envelope clearly marked for the specific RFQ. Submission must comply with all instructions, and the School Board reserves rights to reject or waive responses, request resubmissions, or more information as needed.
