The Boston Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a qualified contractor to provide seasonal maintenance, inspection, repair, and winterization services for splash pads and spray play systems located across numerous City parks and playgrounds. The contractor will ensure that all systems are safely started up each spring, properly winterized each fall, and kept in reliable working condition throughout the season. The consolidated Q&A posting will include answers to all IFB questions posed to online. With this Invitation for Bids (IFB), we are hoping to secure a qualified and experienced contractor to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the City of Boston's splash pads and spray play systems. These assets require seasonal activation, careful maintenance, timely repairs, and comprehensive winterization to ensure that they operate safely for residents and visitors throughout the year. The selected vendor will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of spray play systems in accordance with Massachusetts General Law Chapter 30B. This includes furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services required to complete the work in compliance with City standards, manufacturer recommendations, and all applicable health and safety codes.
