The purpose is to obtain qualifications, capabilities, and a pricing structure from qualified firms interested in providing secondary electric service relocation at York International, 9200 York St, Thornton, Colorado. Bidders are expected to define their proposal in bid documents and submit pricing as a lump sum. Electronic bid submission is required. Attendance at the job-walk visit at the specified location is mandatory for bidders. Xcel Energy has determined that the existing transformer system serving York International School must be relocated due to a below-grade transformer vault that is enclosed. Xcel Energy will remove the existing transformers and install a new pad-mounted transformer at an exterior location approved by the utility. Qualified Contractors will be required to: o Disconnect and remove existing secondary conductors from the enclosed vault. o Install new conduit and duct bank routing from the building to the new transformer location. o Install and terminate new secondary conductors. o Provide all required testing, inspections, safety measures and site restoration. All work must comply with: o The latest Xcel Energy Electric Service & Meter Manual. o Xcel Secondary Voltage Construction Standards. o NEC, OSHA, and AHJ requirements
