The Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) has a number of buildings with critically failing foam roofs that are at the end of life and are causing leaks. Due to the corrosive environment at the WPCP, the foam roofs have deteriorated beyond repair. They will have to be stripped down and an entirely new roof system needs to be applied that will hold up better in the extreme weather and corrosive conditions. Its become very evident that these roof conditions are getting progressively worse. There are four (4) buildings that have been identified as critical replacements, as these house SCADA Controls and other critical electrical components for the WPCP. Prioritization would be admin building (est. cost $167,000.-), blower building (est cost $117,000.-), and boiler room ($31,000.-) replacements in FY25/26. Shop Bldg 2(est cost $ 188,000.-) replacement in FY26/27. The project is included in the City's 2026-2031 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
