Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Reference Number - 0000406504 The goal of this project is to remove and replace the existing shared use path along Highway 6 and 24 from Donegan to Linden. The project will also improve the existing infrastructure by extending the 12-inch watermain and updating the existing lighting. The City of Glenwood Springs is proposing to hire a contractor to rebuild the Shared Use Path along Highway 6&24 from Donegan to Linden. The work includes removal and replacement of the existing roadway surface of the westbound lane, installation of a new path, updates to the existing bus stop, improvements to the existing stripping and driving movements, storm improvements, watermain extension, electrical and lighting upgrades. This project is partially funded by a Multimodal Transportational and Mitigation Options Fund Grant administered by the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT). The bidding and construction process will need to follow the CDOT Local Agency manual, set with the Contract the City as with CDOT. The contractor will be responsible for obtaining a Stormwater Permit for the project. Contractor to provide the city with a detailed traffic control plan prior to starting any street work within the permit application. Unless otherwise provided, the Contractor shall keep the road open to all traffic access and driveway access unless approved by the city and notice to the adjacent businesses prior to closures. Contractor to schedule operations so that only one side of the road is denied to traffic at any time. The road and intersections of access points shall be maintained in a manner that will safely and adequately accommodate traffic.
