Site work for a water / sewer project in Daytona Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Work includes, but is not limited to, the construction of a replacement lift station (LS 62) for the City of Daytona Beach, designed to accommodate a present flow of 2,400 gallons per minute. The project entails intercepting the existing gravity sewer main and diverting wastewater through a newly constructed concrete manhole into a new circular concrete wet well. The lift station will be equipped with four submersible centrifugal wastewater pumps--three duty and one standby--operated via variable frequency drives (VFDs). Discharge piping will consist of 316L stainless steel and ductile iron and will include above-grade control valves and a new magnetic flow meter, ultimately tying into the existing force main along the western property boundary. An additional connection to an existing equalization basin will also be constructed. A new electrical building will be constructed to house electrical equipment and provide a restroom for City staff, while a diesel-fueled standby generator, along with associated fuel storage and piping, will be installed to the north of the station. Additional site improvements include grading, widening of the perimeter access road, construction of a metal pole barn for generator storage, introduction of a security gate, security system, fencing, and installation of landscaping. The project will also include the conversion of an existing valve vault into a manhole to serve as an emergency overflow connection between the new wet well and the existing equalization basin. There will be pipe and manhole lining associated with portions of the project. The existing lift station will remain operational throughout the construction period to maintain continuous service, requiring coordination with utility providers. Contractor to provide transformer pad and primary conduit in accordance with FPL standard requirements. Upon completion and successful commissioning of the new lift station, the existing structure and its mechanical and electrical components will be decommissioned and demolished. All work shall be performed in accordance with the Contract Drawings and Specifications. The City of Daytona Beach reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or any portion of any proposal, or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Question Deadline 02/17/2026 at 5:00 PM ET
