Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Westfield, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; and road / highway.

Project generally consists of constructing a cast-in-place concrete slab on pilesupported end bents to create a tunnel allowing the Monon Trail to pass under 161st Street along with the adjacent retaining walls and railing. The roads, driveways, and pedestrian paths disturbed by the work within the project site will be reconstructed in-kind. The work will be phased and temporary pavement will be installed north of 161st Street to maintain one lane of traffic in each direction during construction. The Contractors to whom work is awarded shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, and they shall be acceptable to the City of Westfield, Indiana. No bidder may withdraw their proposal within a period of 60 days following the date set for receiving bids. The City of Westfield, Indiana reserves the right to retain the three lowest bid proposals for a period of not more than 90 days, and said proposal shall remain in full force and effect during said time. The City of Westfield, Indiana further reserves the right to waive informalities and to award the contract to the lowest and most responsible bidder or bidders, all to the advantage of the City of Westfield, Indiana, or to reject all Proposals.
