**As of March 6th, 2026, the project was awarded to Curtis Contracting Inc, with an awarded amount of $447,952.20** PROJECT Route 33 West Waterline Road Crossing (Project #571) and Country Club Railway Crossing (Project #378) for the City of Harrisonburg, VA 2. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Project includes completion of two (2) separate bore & jack road crossings to install steel casings as follows: o 125 linear feet of 42" diameter steel casing under VDOT Rt. 33; Rawley Pike o 60 linear feet of 24" diameter steel casing under Norfolk Southern Railway near Country Club Rd The scope of work has been fully defined in the ITB Manual, Technical Specifications and construction drawings that have been issued by the City of Harrisonburg (Owner). Specific attention will be required to meet stakeholder requirements as it pertains to the Harrisonburg Department of Public Utilities (HPU), private landowners, Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) for right-of-way permitting, Norfolk Southern Railway Commission, Rockingham County Erosion & Sediment Control, and Rockingham County Fire Office for blasting permitting.
